EDUCATION

Education is essential in allowing those who are poor to escape the cycle of poverty, this is a long-term investment. In order to make a fairer society we need people with the right kind of education, which also has a moral and ethical foundation.  Basic education should be free to everyone, thus Green Crescent has provided funding for poor children so they can have an education.

We have also funded local schools so they can purchase books, arrange sports events and provided loans for school extensions and renovations. Education should be more than just reading and writing; it should also involve the teaching of skills such as farming, weaving, carpentry, mechanical skills, basically something, with which they can create a livelihood.
